The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a much-anticipated tradition, featuring balloons, floats, marching bands, and a host of performances by celebrities.
Thanksgiving Day will be celebrated throughout the US on Thursday, Nov. 23. If there is something that characterizes this holiday besides turkey with gravy, it is the traditional Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The annual event takes place in New York during the early hours of Thanksgiving, and it also serves as the kick-off activity for the festivity and the Christmas holidays as well. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade is scheduled to start promptly at 8:30 a.m. ET and will last approximately three hours.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2023 attractions
According to the event’s official website, the parade will feature various attractions, including six balloonicles, 31 floats, 11 marching bands, 18 musical presentations and 25 giant balloons, among which are well-known pop culture characters such as Grogu, Goku, Ronald McDonald and Sponge Bob & Gary.
For the 97th edition of the parade, there will be seven new characters among the balloons: Kung Fu Panda, The Pillsbury Doughboy (who sports a new look), Uncle Dan, Monkey D. Luffy, Blue Cat & Chugs, Leo and Beagle Scout Snoopy.
