Who will receive $1,900 from Social Security on February 2?
The Social Security Administration will send out the agency’s second payment of the month on Friday, Feb. 2. Find out which beneficiaries will receive it.
On the first week of February, the Social Security Administration will send out two rounds of payments. This includes checks to beneficiaries who are retired, surviving family members, and recipients of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs.
To know when Social Security and SSI payments are sent, the agency has a payment schedule you can consult. For example, Supplemental Security Income payments are sent on the first day of each month.
On the third day of each month, money is sent to retirees who began receiving their payments before May 1997. For those who collect Social Security benefits (retirees or survivors) and SSI at the same time, the SSI payment is sent on the first day of the month and the Social Security payment is sent on the third day.
The rest of the Social Security checks are sent on Wednesdays, depending on the date of birth of the beneficiaries:
If any payment date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or federal holiday, payment is advanced to the preceding business day.

These insurance beneficiaries receive their payment on February 2
Following the SSA payment schedule, SSI recipients will receive their payment on Thursday, February 1.
Because the 3rd is a Saturday, payment for retirees who began receiving their payments before May 1997 is brought forward and sent on Friday, February 2.
The rest of the payments will be sent on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month:
Payments are sent via direct deposit to beneficiaries who have shared a bank account or via mail in a paper check which takes longer to arrive. If you don’t receive your payment on time, wait three days before contacting the SSA. This year, average payments for retired workers rose to just over $1,900, according to the SSA. Meanwhile, SSI benefits have risen to $943 for individuals and $1,415 for couples.
