Californians who are eligible to receive the Middle Class Tax Refund and get their tax refund via direct deposit should keep an eye on their bank account starting Friday. The California Franchise Tax Board (CFTB) has announced that the first batches of payments for between $200 to $1,050 will go out 7 October 2022. Those who receive their refund in the mail will have to wait a little longer.

The Golden State tax authority expects that 95 percent of all payments, both direct deposit and debit cards, will be issued before the end of year. Here are other key dates to put on your calendar.
