Lost Ark is now available in the West exclusively for PC. After its debut in Asia and extraordinary results, its debut in Europe, the United States, and Latin America this past week has resulted in more than one million simultaneous players, endless queues and certainty: the game is aiming very high. The free-to-play MMORPG from Smilegate and Amazon Games has a total of five classes. We tell you what they are, what subclasses there are and the current tier-list with the best ones.
Lost Ark, what are its classes and subclasses?
Lost Ark currently has a total of five classes. Below we will talk in-depth about each of them; since they have subclasses and are aimed at a particular play style.
- Warrior
- Martial Artist
- Gunner
- Mage
- Assassin
Warrior
Warriors are the powerhouses of Arkesia. They are not the most nimble, but they are steady and make up for their lack of mobility with cataclysmic blows. There are three subclasses for Warriors.
- Berserker (Melee)
- Paladín (Melee)
- Gunlancer (Melee)
Martial Artist
This type of fighters are very fast thanks to their fast feet. They love to fight enemies with combined attacks at amazing speeds.
- Striker (Melee)
- Wardancer (Melee)
- Scrapper (Melee)
- Soulfist (Melee)
Gunner
This Lost Art class specializes in weapons. The Gunner's take advantage of the technology of the game universe, Arkesia, and their superb aim to launch infallible bows or arrows. It is important to keep an eagle eye on these sharpshooters since they shoot from medium distances.

Mage
Pure, unadulterated magic. These mystical conjurers use ancient Arkesian magic to cast deadly spells against threats, heal wounded allies or support other players.

Assassin
The fifth and last class of Lost Ark is Assassin. These are mysterious female fighters use their skills in melee combat using demonic arts against demons. The particularity is that they channel dark powers in the name of light with really fast movements.

What are the best classes in Lost Ark? Current Tier List
Although it is still early to determine which class is "best" in Lost Ark, portals such as Rock Paper Shotgun collect the current preferences of the community in four categories or tiers, which are the following, from best to worst:
- Tier S: Bard, Berserker, Gunlancer, Gunslinger, Paladin
- Tier A: Artillerist, Deathblade, Sorceress, Striker
- Tier B: Scrapper, Shadowhunter, Sharpshooter, Soulfist
- Tier C: Deadeye, Wardancer
