Hogwarts Legacy to star in next week's State of Play with PS5 gameplay

The highly anticipated new video game set in the magical universe of Harry Potter will be presented in a State of Play, as announced by Sony on the official PlayStation blog. The broadcast will take place on Thursday, March 17 at 17:00 PM ET, with a total duration of 20 minutes. Of this time, it will feature 14 minutes of gameplay of the game running on a PS5, while the remaining minutes will include commentary from the development team, Avalanche Studio.

As usual, the stream will be available live on PlayStation's official YouTube and Twitch channels. "Since we first revealed Hogwarts Legacy, the trailer has been viewed more than 28 million times on the PlayStation YouTube channel. We promised to share more this year, and we're finally ready to deliver on that promise," they assure. "This is an incredible moment that we’ve been building towards for a long time. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on."

For now, no more specific details were mentioned on the PlayStation Blog about what will be presented during the stream, so we'll have to stay tuned to see how the Wizarding World will offer on consoles.

Hogwarts Legacy is an adventure, action and role-playing game set many years before the Harry Potter novels. The title was unveiled in September 2020 during the PlayStation 5 presentation event, and since then, information related to this title has been scarce. It will be published by Warner Bros. Games for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. Will they reveal a release date? For the moment, it is still scheduled for this very year 2022.
