'The Batman' reveals deleted scene with a major villain
This new deleted scene from Matt Reeves' latest film shows us in greater detail a key character that we barely had a chance to hear his laugh.
Since its premiere, The Batman ARG page, rataalada.com, has been slowly releasing information, details and previews of upcoming projects related to this movie. A few weeks ago it revealed the upcoming comic book of The Riddler written by actor Paul Dano. Today it shows us in detail one of the movie's most disturbing scenes, but one that many fans would have liked to see in the movie in a new video.
Spoilers for The Batman below.
While The Batman had a sneak peek at this character, now it's time to see him in greater detail. The scene in question features Robert Pattinson's Batman visiting The Joker played by Barry Keoghan at Arkham. Although in The Batman the Caped Crusader has only been a short time as Gotham's vigilante hero, this video shows that the relationship between him and the Clown Prince of Crime has been going on for some time.
The scene shows a relationship of frenemies, with The Batman consulting The Joker about The Riddler's M.O., showing him photos of this new serial killer's recent crimes. For his part, The Joker would appear to have a relationship with The Dark Knight, asking "Almost our anniversary, isn't it?" This version of The Joker seems more physically damaged than other film interpretations, so it will be interesting to see how this particular villain will be approached.
It should be recalled that in the film, Keoghan has a very brief appearance near the end of the movie, receiving credit as Unseen Arkham Prisoner. However, the dialogue he engages in with The Riddler, and his very characteristic laugh, gave away all the clues to suggest that this was Batman's greatest foe.
A total success
The Batman has become a huge success for Warner Bros. In its first weekend alone, it reached $248.5 million at the global box office. For now, there are still several projects to come out of this movie, such as a sequel and a TV series.
