Production of the new season of the Netflix series kicks off in Italy and Slovenia as Henry Cavill introduces his new mount.
Beyond the announcement of the development of the next video game of The Witcher saga, the famous Netflix series that adapts the adventures of Geralt of Rivia continues with its next season. So much so, that the production of its third season has already started in different locations in Italy and Slovenia, where it has been possible to see part of the technical team and some protagonists preparing for the action. Even its leading actor, Henry Cavill, has presented on social media his new horse Hector, who would be his new mount for the series.
First filming sets in Italy and Slovenia
Through the portal Redanian Intelligence, a media specialized in the adaptations of Andrzej Sapkowski's work, it has been confirmed the beginning of a production that will last until September 2022 if everything goes as planned. Coincidentally, filming began on the same day as the second season, March 31. For now, we have already seen both Henry Cavill and Freya Allan, as well as a third actor whose identity and character is a mystery.
These first days the shooting will take place in different locations on the border between Italy and Slovenia. However, for the moment there are no official details of what we will see in this new season beyond the events that will take place, based on Time of Hate, the third novel of the saga, as Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the showrunner of the Netflix series, announced a few months ago.
Last October, the first details of a third season were already revealed, which, according to those responsible for it, we will still have to wait to see, probably at the end of 2022 or as early as 2023.
