Hotfix

Fortnite brings back jetpacks, Egg Launcher and more

A small hotfix arrived today to Fortnite and among its surprises and tweaks, two major items from the past are unvaulted to Epic’s battle royale.

Update:
Fortnite brings back jetpacks, Egg Launcher and more

Fortnite just received a hotfix that added new content to the game and brought back some items that had been in storage for years. Jetpacks and egg launchers return in Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 3.

Jetpacks are back in Fortnite after appearing at the end of Chapter 1. Since then, this particular means of transportation had been kept in the vault. These items help players move more vertically, float or even help stop a long, hard fall. However, these items are not so easily found on the map as they are at specific points, so we tell you where you can get to find them.

Where to find the jetpack in Fortnite

Since today's hotfix, jetpacks will be able to be found on some walls inside the IO airships that are floating above the island. To be more specific, they will be found on the inner walls near an entrance door. Reaching these airships is simple, either you land on one from the Battle Bus or you take one of the ziplines or ascenders from some point on the ground or building. Currently, there are five locations where you can find these airships, although remember, every week the war that is happening in the game is moving these forces around the island.

Egg Launcher arrives to Fortnite

Just in time for Easter, Epic's Battle Royale receives this particular temporary weapon. The Egg Launches is an explosive weapon, similar to other launches. These are found randomly on the ground, in chests, and in supply drops.

What are the Special Bouncy Eggs?

Finally, we also find the Special Bouncy Eggs. These are consumables that appear at certain points of the island and with which we can recover health and shield. They also provide us with an anti-gravity effect, which prevents us from falling damage, and allows us to jump higher than normal.
