Alolan Geodude, the seventh-generation (Alola) Rock/Electric-type Pokémon, will have the spotlight on May 2022 Community Day. Niantic has confirmed the date, times, bonus and features of the fifth Community Day of the year. Just as last month's Community day with Stufful, this community day will last a total of three hours. However, it will be much earlier than in April. Let’s take a look at all the details.
Date, time and features of May Community Day - Alolan Geodude in Pokémon Go.
May Community Day 2022 will be held next May 21 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, local time, where the Alolan Geodude will be the featured Pokémon. If lucky, players will be able to find the Rock Pokémon in its shiny form.
For the duration of Pokémon Go's May Community Day, we may encounter the Alolan Geodude in the wild at a very high frequency. Also, as with previous community days, for $1 it will be possible to access the Alolan Geodude Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, A Rocky Road. Along with this, Niantic also announced that it will be possible to gift tickets for the Community Day Special Research to a friend. Now, next to the Buy option, a Gift button will appear. For now, we will have to stay tuned when Ninantic puts these tickets on sale.
Alolan Golem will learn (and debut) Fast Attack Rollout
If you evolve your Alolan Geodude to Alolan Golem during the event, or up to two hours after the event ends (4:00 pm, local time), it will learn the Fast Attack Rollout. This charged attack achieves a power damage of 4 in Trainer Battles, while in Gyms and raids, it will have a power damage of 14. In addition, it will generate energy quickly during fights.
Alolan Geodude evolves with 25 candies to Alolan Graveler, and with 100 candies or through trade to Alolan Golem.
May 2022 Community Day Bonus
There will be a special one-time-purchase Community Day Box available for 975 PokéCoins, featuring one Super Incubator, one Lucky Egg, one Elite Fast TM, and one Star Piece. A bundle containing 30 Ultra Balls will be available in the shop at no cost.
