Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi reappears with an exciting trailer that gives a glimpse of Vader
The Disney+ miniseries will premiere with its first two episodes on May 27, which will continue the story of Jedi Master Kenobi on Tatooine.
Star Wars Day promised fresh news about the franchise and it didn't disappoint. During yesterday afternoon, Lucasfilm's official accounts confirmed that Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi would release a new trailer throughout the day. We had to wait patiently, but it's finally available and you can enjoy it below.
In addition to the trailer, the series' official account has published a new poster:
Protect Luke, escape the Galactic Empire.
Order 66 annihilated the Jedi in a matter of hours, though a few managed to survive their gruesome fate. Since then, they live hidden in the shadows, waiting for a new hope that will allow them to re-emerge with the spark of the Rebellion. Obi-Wan Kenobi traveled to Tatooine to protect Anakin Skywalker's baby, hidden with his family on the sandy planet. From a distance, he watches over the little boy, who is now ten years old and unaware that his father is the evil Darth Vader.
The classic trilogy implied that Obi-Wan Kenobi lived as a hermit since the end of the Clone Wars, but the Jedi master still has at least one more mission off the planet Tatooine. Imperial Inquisitors have landed over the desert and are searching for one of the hidden Jedi. If Obi-Wan is discovered, the existence of Luke himself could be revealed.
Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi will be a limited series, which means that the story will have a beginning, a middle and an end. A second season is therefore not planned, although Lucasfilm has not completely closed the doors. Whatever its future, the expected return will take place on May 27 with two episodes of the six that will make up the series.
Obi-Wan Kenobi stars Ewan McGregor, along with Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr, Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie and the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader.
