Sonic Frontiers shows its first gameplay, Sonic like never before

Sonic Frontiers is looking better and better. The next game of the hedgehog has just released a new teaser trailer in which it shows off its graphics and open world. This is the first installment of the franchise that comes in sandbox format and aims to "offer a completely different style". After its comings and goings with 3D, the character wants to make amends, evolve and offer the quality levels of yesteryear, but according to contemporary standards. Sega has already let it know that they will not accept another mediocrity and that they are very interested in receiving the highest possible marks.

The teaser serves to announce that the game will be seen soon on IGN where it will show its first gameplay, who knows if with the final release date. For now we only know that it plans to arrive this same 2022 to all possible platforms (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch).

Sonic's upcoming series on Netflix

In addition to this new installment, the Sega character is preparing a series for Netflix called Sonic Prime, which will be in three dimensions and will be produced by Wild Brain Studio and Man of Action Entertainment. Both producers have promised to stay "faithful to the brand's principles" and anticipate that we will see "the hedgehog's favorite settings and characters". It already has some first images of Sonic's design and to tell the truth, it doesn't look bad.

Sonic Prime will consist of 24 episodes and although it has no premiere date, it is expected to arrive in 2022. This is what its first and brief synopsis says: "a high-octane adventure where the fate of a strange new multiverse rests in his gloved hands. Sonic’s adventure is about more than a race to save the universe, it’s a journey of self-discovery and redemption."
