Genshin Impact version 2.8 now available: new features, events and more

Summer is coming and with it, the new version 2.8 of Genshin Impact is called Summer Fantasia. In it, we can find several new features and new content to enjoy interesting thematic events, new interactions with our favorite characters, have the opportunity to meet new ones and pull for them in the gacha, etc... In addition, we have available a series of reward codes that can be redeemed to obtain in exchange primogems and other interesting items.

All the new features of Genshin Impact version 2.8

The Genshin Impact update, "Summer Fantasia" is now available for download on all platforms and along with it comes the big seasonal event "Summertime Odyssey" in the company of characters such as Fischl, Xinyan, Kaedahara Kazuha and Mona. With it, the Golden Apple Archipelago is transformed to add new domains, more extensive exploration gameplay, more chests and unexpected stories about the Traveler's companions.

If we play these events we can get the four-star character, Fischl, for free. We also find events on the islands to play individually or with friends (in "Reminiscence Training"). Specifically, during the "Resonating Visions" event, we can collect special shells containing stories and messages and redeem Fischl's new costume.

Back on the mainland, leaving the islands aside, Diluc, Kaedehara Kazuha and the new four-star playable character, Shikanoin Heizou, will also see their own stories unfold. For Diluc we find a new costume with a distinctive look, a new idle animation and new combat effects (all available in the Store at a limited-time discount).

As for Kaedehara Kazuha, we will be able to learn more of his story thanks to the first chapter of his legendary mission. His friend Shikanoin Heizou, a young detective with great talent who solves crimes for the Tenryou Commission, will be released in version 2.8 and we will meet him by joining the Encounter with Heizou to be detectives for a day. In combat he stands out for being the first character in the game to use catalyst at close range. He can inflict Anemo damage with powerful punches and kicks, and can even cause extra Elemental damage to enemies affected by Hydro, Pyro, Cryo or Electro. After Heizou, Kazuha and Klee's gacha in the initial phase of version 2.8, Yoimiya's will be available in the later phase of the update.
