Splatoon 3 floods the battlefield with ink in new gameplay video
The third installment of Nintendo's shooter will arrive next month on Switch. With the release approaching, new content coming to the game was revealed.
Nintendo Switch has several heavyweight releases lined up for the coming months - Bayonetta 3, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and Splatoon 3, which just shared a new trailer during the recently aired Nintendo Direct. The game will go on sale in about a month, on September 9. To liven up the wait, we leave you the full video, in which you will find gameplay of the battles, new details on character customization, and a curious mini trading card game in the style of Tetris.
A look at the Splatoon 3 matches
The third installment of the saga bets on turf battles in which players compete in groups of 4 members. Once again, the main objective of each team is to cover as much of the stage as possible with ink, making use of different weapons and power-up items. Both new maps have been confirmed, as well as others coming from the previous titles of the franchise for Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
In addition, one of the great attractions of this new release is the story mode in which we must join and cooperate with Agent 3, in his fight against the rebel Octarians on the way to unravel the secrets of the Fuzzy Ooze. The campaign takes place in an unpublished area called Alterna, in which, as it could not be otherwise, we will also have to face several final bosses.
Last July, the Japanese company announced a new model of Nintendo Switch OLED, dedicated to Splatoon 3 with an exclusive design of the game, along with matching accessories such as a protective case, a pair of Joy-Con and even a special edition of the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
Nintendo Switch releases in 2022
Although only a few days have passed since the arrival of Live to Live and Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Nintendo's console still has a lot to say in the remainder of the year. Because beyond Splatoon 3, the long-awaited Bayonetta 3 (October 19), which recently revealed the first details of its story, and a little later, one of the bombshells of 2022: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet (November 18); of which you can not miss its new trailer.
