Splatoon 3 demo cheaters are already getting banned

Thanks to the anti-cheat system already used on Splatoon 2, Nintendo has detected some players that are modifying the unreleased game through patches.

Splatoon 3 demo cheaters are already getting banned

Nintendo is going to show zero tolerance against cheaters in Splatoon 3. Thanks to the demo that could be enjoyed since this past weekend, the developers have not waited for the final release of the upcoming hybrid console shooter to carry out bans in the game and even from Nintendo Switch Online.

According to what can be read in Nintendo Life and as told by dataminer OatmealDome, Nintendo has already banned players who have modified the game in some way. Apparently, the main reason is that some of them are being able to access areas that, for the moment, should be blocked and they are doing it using patches that, to make matters worse, they are sharing with other players. According to OatmealDome, players are being banned from their console if they have modified the game, but this could even lead to complete bans from Nintendo Switch Online, Nintendo's subscription service required to play online.

Everything points to the fact that Splatoon 3 will use the same anti-cheat system already used in the second installment, which was added in 2018. As OatmealDome recalls, this system was already capable of detecting patches like these that are already being used in this third installment, with what from the company show their surprise to see that some players return to use them knowing that there is a very high probability that they will be detected.

Nintendo's ultimate multiplayer?

Our colleagues in Spain were able to play Splatoon 3 in depth just a few days ago, both in its single-player and multiplayer campaigns. In their preview they were able to see that it will be packed with content, as was also evident in the recent Nintendo Direct dedicated exclusively to the game.

Splatoon 3 will arrive in stores on September 9, only on Nintendo Switch. In the meantime, you can discover the five reasons why this third installment is a qualitative and quantitative leap compared to its predecessor.
