Xbox Game Pass family plan is official: here's how it works

Microsoft officially details how its Xbox Game Pass family plan will work, which has already been tested for some time in Ireland and Colombia.

Update:
Xbox Game Pass family plan is official: here's how it works

Not that it was a rumor, since Microsoft was testing these days its family plan for Xbox Game Pass in countries like Colombia or Ireland, but now it has become 100% official. Thus, this plan called Friends & Family will be available soon around the world, and points to a price of €21.99 per month.

This price includes the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service -including Gold- and can be shared with up to four people, family or friends. There will not be any kind of limitation, since according to the official website, the five subscribers can even play the same game simultaneously. The only condition is that all subscription members must be in the same region. For now, prices have not been disclosed for the United States, although it is estimated that it will cost $10 more than the current Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan, with an approximate cost of $25.99.

There will be a limit to the number of people who can be invited since there will be a holder who will be in charge of the payment, who will be able to invite four friends or family members. However, these four members do not have to be permanent and may change over time, although there may not be more than 8 different members in a year. Nor may the same person be invited more than twice in a 12-month period.

Upcoming additions to Game Pass

In the meantime, it is worth taking a look at the upcoming games that will be added to the Game Pass catalog in the coming months. Among them is A Plague Tale: Requiem, the sequel to one of the great surprises of the last generation, A Plague Tale: Innocence, which will arrive on October 18. It will be on Game Pass from that same day.

But there will be many more, including exclusives such as Redfall -by Arkane-, the terrifying Scorn, or, of course, Starfield, which will not arrive until 2023. Third parties of the magnitude of Wu Long: Fallen Dynasty, Persona 5 Royal, or the eagerly awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong will also join.
