It's time for the Rebellion. Star Wars: Andor, the new original series from Lucasfilm for Disney+, finally begins its journey with a first season that will chronicle the adventures of Cassian Andor during the darkest era of the galaxy. After a month's delay, the platform offers the first three episodes starting Wednesday, September 21 at midnight PT, 3:00 a.m. ET.
Like other Disney+ series, the episodes of this first season will be distributed weekly, in this case, every Wednesday. Below is the complete list with all 12 episodes.
Release date of all Star Wars: Andor episodes
Star Wars: Andor is a sci-fi thriller with the components of a spy series. Cassian, the Rebel soldier we met in Rogue One, blends in with the Imperial agents to blow up their structures from the inside. Five years before the events of the film, the foundations of the Rebellion began to be built. Important members of the Senate such as Mon Mothma and Bail Organa work in the shadows to end the reign of the evil Emperor Palpatine.
The series will have two seasons, but the arrival of the second one will be delayed for a while. Tony Gilroy, director and showrunner, has assured that they will shoot from November to August and that they will need at least a year of post-production. Unlike The Mandalorian or Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor is being shot in a more traditional way, without the presence of StageCraft technology, also known as Volume.
