World of Warcraft: Dragonflight to be released in November
The new expansion of Blizzard Entertainment's veteran MMORPG is getting closer and closer and also confirms the time when it will be available.
The adventures never stop. Blizzard Entertainment has announced the release date of the next expansion of its star MMORPG, World of Warcraft. Dragonflight will be available from November 28 (or 29, depending on where you are on the globe). From a publication in its blog, Blizzard has also broken down the times in which the game will be available around the world.
"The ancestral home of dragonkind—the Dragon Isles are awakening, and many long-forgotten secrets are waiting to be uncovered," reads the official synopsis. " Heed the call of the dragons as their ancient homelands are revealed once more." Players will experience new adventures and search for all sorts of mysteries.
Blizzard's agenda for the coming months
Blizzard Entertainment has not had it easy in recent years. The American company has jumped from scandal to scandal, with cases of sexual and labor harassment that has also splashed its parent company, Activision Blizzard. All this has resulted in the dismissal of some employees, as happened with the director of Diablo IV. This is precisely one of the titles that Blizzard will launch in 2023. Before that happens, Overwatch 2 will start its early access on October 4.
Microsoft has yet to close the Activision Blizzard acquisition deal, which is still awaiting final approval from the relevant regulatory bodies. In the meantime, the Redmond-based company has expressed its confidence that the institutions will give the go-ahead, despite the concerns of competitors such as PlayStation. They are not happy with the deal they have been offered for Call of Duty, an IP that will become the property of Xbox Game Studios once the deal closes.
