How long is God of War: Ragnarok? Story and sidequests duration unveiled
We already know how long the main story of God of War: Ragnarok will take, its side quests and how much cinematic content Kratos' new adventure has.
We get the first details about the length of God of War: Ragnarok. According to reports from several sources, the new adventure of Kratos will be around 20 hours, the same as its prequel, the 2018 release. Of that twenty, there are about 3 and a half hours of cinematics and eminently narrative situations, with the remaining 16-odd hours being pure gameplay.
Now, it seems that Ragnarok will have more additional content than the last God of War, as that one went up to 32 hours if we wanted to complete it (according to HowLongToBeat). The new one will last about 40 hours (8 more) if we explore everything and complete their missions and side quests.
God of War 2018 kept such interesting extra content as the realms of Niflheim and Muspelheim. While the former was a fascinating rogue-lite mini-game, the latter came to be an arena full of combat challenges. Not to mention the famous nine optional valkyries that were the biggest challenge of the whole adventure. What similar proposals await in Ragnarok?
How much storage does God of War Ragnarok take up?
And before the duration, we had the size. A few weeks ago it also came to light how much the game will occupy on PS4. God of War: Ragnarok will require us 90.6 GB, twice as much as the previous installment, which required us 45 GB back in 2018. For now, the final size on PS5 is unknown, but the new generation versions tend to be a little lighter, as contradictory as it may be, so we can assume that it will be around 80 GB.
It is normal that more and more data and details about God of War: Ragnarok are coming out because after all, the end of the Norse saga is imminent. The game will arrive on November 9 on PS4 and PS5, and looking at its latest trailers, it's a contender for Game of the Year. As Kratos says in one of them, "Death can have me… when it earns me."
