From time to time new video games emerge that quickly go viral on the Internet, either for its spectacular visuals, for its shocking proposal or for what it can offer for the future. And it seems that Blight: Survival combines all these virtues if we pay attention to the commotion caused in networks as a result of the recent publication of its first gameplay trailer. A brutal 5-minute video that you can see below these lines and that immerses us in its dark medieval world ravaged by death.

Of course, Haenir Studio's proposal leaves nobody indifferent. In essence, Blight: Survival is conceived as a cooperative survival horror action-adventure for up to 4 players, with melee combat in third person, exploration in an open world and rogue-lite elements, all set in a medieval world ravaged by zombies in the middle of the 14th century. In addition, a very cinematic setting is added to the equation thanks to the use of the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine and its spectacular graphics.

The objective of the game is to survive another day of walking death while we finish off our enemies -whether human or undead-, search for resources and equipment and complete the different scenarios that the adventure presents us with. All this thanks to a small team of developers who started their way with a very early version of Blight: Survival shown through TikTok some time ago and have managed to lay the first stone of a future release with its official page on Steam, which is already available.

Although it will take some time to see a 1.0 version of this new title -who knows if an early access version will be available first, as it usually happens with this kind of projects-, everything seems to indicate that Blight: Survival can position itself as one of the most desired titles of the genre in the next few years.
