Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo and Lunala are Pokémon that we can obtain in Pokémon GO as part of the Special Investigation A Cosmic Companion. As we complete their various tasks, we can obtain them.
Cosmog is the base form of this Pokémon family. Its evolution is Cosmoem. Cosmoem, in turn, can evolve into Solgaleo if it is daytime, or Lunala if it is nighttime. Read on for the details:
How to catch Pokémon #789 Cosmog in Pokémon GO?
Cosmog is the base form of this Pokémon line, and we will be able to catch him at the end of the first phase of A Cosmic Companion.
How to obtain Pokémon #790 Cosmoem in Pokémon GO?
Cosmoem is the evolution of Cosmog. It is obtained by evolving a Cosmog using 25 Cosmog Candies.
How to get Pokémon #791 Solgaleo and #792 Lunala in Pokémon GO?
This is where it gets complicated. Cosmoem can evolve into either Solgaleo or Lunala depending on the time of day we give it 100 Cosmog Candy:
- Solgaleo: if we give 100 Cosmog candies to Cosmoem during the day, it will evolve to Solgaleo.
- Lunala: if we give 100 Cosmog Candy to Cosmoem during the night, it will evolve to Lunala.
Please note that new ways to obtain these Pokémon may be added in the future, such as via events, Special or Timed Researches, or even in Raids. At the time of publishing this guide, these four Pokémon can only be obtained via the Special Investigation A Cosmic Companion. And since we have to choose between Solgaleo or Lunala, if we want the other one, we will have to exchange it with a friend to get its entry into the PokéDex.
