One more day, one more video game industry leak. Everyone is getting ready for The Game Awards to begin, and while Street Fighter 6 hadn’t been confirmed to be in the ceremony, Capcom did reveal that they were planning on announcing something during the event. Be as it may, the PlayStation Store seems to have jumped the gun and updated the game’s page to reveal the release date. According to screenshots posted by several users, the game will launch on June 2, 2023.

The PlayStation Store photos show a variety of editions (Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate), so we also now more details about additional content: there’s a character season pass, skins, stickers, and more. Even if this happens to be a placeholder date, Street Fighter 3 is poised to start the fights in 2023. In the meantime, Capcom recently announced a second beta period, which will take place this very month.

Street Fighter 6’s beta

When will it happen? From the 16 to the 19 of December, selected players will have the chance to enjoy the newest combat of this legendary franchise. If you played in the first beta you will be able to join the second one without any issues, just follow the same steps you did when the first testing period was active.

As for the playable roster available in the beta period, this time you’ll be able to choose from eight different fighters: Ryu, Ken, Luke, Jamie, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, and Juri. The game modes will include Ranked Match, Casual Match, Battle Hub Match, Open Tournament, Extreme Battle, Game Center, and Training Mode. You’ll also be able to try the Battle Hub Store and several amenities in the gathering area.

Street Fighter 6 will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will eventually have crossplay, so players of every platform will be able to play together without restrictions.
