How to get all forms of Vivillon in Pokémon GO

As of December 15, 2022, Scatterbug, Spewpa and Vivillon are available in Pokémon GO. They are Pokémon numbers 664, 665, and 666 in the national PokéDex. The way to get hold of them is very peculiar, as it requires us to save postcards sent to us by our Friends when sending us Gifts or by sending the ones we get ourselves by spinning Photodiscs from Poké Stops.

To save postcards, we must first interact with a Friend's Gift. Before opening it, we must touch the thumbtack to save the postcard in question.

This unlocks the Vivillon Collector's Badge. We can check our progress on it by tapping our avatar, and in the "Me" section, scroll down and tap the Vivillon icon, which is the one with his silhouette (resembling a butterfly).

Depending on the area of the postcard, we will be able to get a Vivillon with different motifs on its wings, although we will not capture them directly. By collecting postcards from different parts of the world, we will be able to find Scatterbug that will evolve into Vivillon from one of the following different habitats around the globe:

In a nutshell: by saving postcards from different areas of the world, we advance the progress of the Vivillon Collector's Badge sub-badges. By saving 3, 9 and 15 postcards from the same habitat we will be able to initiate an encounter with a Scatterbug that will eventually evolve into a Spewpa, and this Spewpa will evolve into the Vivillon with the color pattern of the wings of that particular zone.

To evolve a Scatterbug to Spewpa we need 25 Scatterbug Candies, and to evolve a Spewpa to Vivillon we need 100 Scatterbug Candies. As obtaining Vivillon requires a lot of Scatterbug Candies, we will have to put a Scatterbug or Spewpa as Companions and walk with them to collect them.
