God of War Ragnarök is getting New Game Plus in 2023

The latest Kratos and son adventure has been available since last November both for PS4 and PS5, and soon you’ll be able to play it all over again with everything you’ve unlocked.

God of War Ragnarök is getting New Game Plus in 2023

In the same way that Photo Mode wasn’t released until after the game launched, Santa Monica Studio is still working on new features for God of War Ragnarök, the direct sequel to their 2018 hit game. Through social media, the studio confirmed the arrival of a long awaited feature, which the fans have been asking for non-stop: New Game Plus. From what they’ve said, it seems like the new mode is being released in 2023.

“We know many of you have been asking, so we’re happy to confirm that New Game Plus will be coming to God of War in Spring 2023! We’ll share more details once we get closer to the release!”, they said on Twitter.

Kratos and Atreus embark on another adventure full of dangers and hideous creatures. Father and son make their way through fantastic nordic realms to complete their objectives and untangle a web of mysteries left behind by their family, and some that are still to be found.

Don’t miss Messi and Mbappé’s fight… in God of War?

No, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe haven’t really thrown fists at each other. What did happen is that a YouTuber modded the original God of War 2018 on PC to exchange the character models of Baldur and Kratos for those of the PSG players. If you want to see the hilarious result, take a look here.

God of War Ragnarök launched back in November on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. And while the first entrie in the rebooted/sequel series of the franchise is already available on PC, there’s still no news about a possible port for the newest title. In any case, Sony has revealed that their first party products will take at least a year before they appear on Steam and the Epic Games Store, except for live-service games.
