Some games are timeless and never cease to amaze us... and if they don't do it, the players do. One of them, CZR, a YouTube user with a discreet channel of just over 4,000 subscribers, has achieved a hardly repeatable feat: to complete Super Mario 64 in just 20 minutes. This is already a big deal, but if we take into consideration that he has achieved it with a drum set, then let's see who is the brave one who dares to emulate him.

A percussive speedrun

Super Mario 64 is a very popular game among those who venture to speedrun, and completing it in 20 minutes (or in this case, 19:48) is a great achievement, but doing it with something other than a controller... is another story. It was far from CZR's first attempt, in fact his previous record stood at 21:09, and he makes it clear that he uses an exploit in the game that allows him to skip the 30-star gate and complete it with only 16, but we don't think that's something that detracts from the feat.

It's not the first game CZR has enjoyed playing with a drum kit, and if we go to his channel, we discover that he has already done the same with others such as Elden Ring (defeating Margit), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (which he completes in just over 90 minutes!), Cuphead or even Outlast. That said, we echo his latest feat, but it's far from being the only one... In fact, as he himself has assured on Twitter, "My proudest record to date," and it has taken him no more and no less than two and a half years to achieve it.

He is undoubtedly a great candidate for the Games Done Quick summer event, which brings together the world's best speedrunners for charity. This past summer, the event raised no less than $3 million for Doctors Without Borders.
