Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye in the MCU), in “critical but stable” state after an accident
The 51 year old actor suffered a "snow plowing related" accident on January 1st due to the current snowstorms pelting the United States with extreme cold
Actor Jeremy Renner, probably best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is currently in a “critical but stable” state after suffering an accident this past day in Reno, Nevada. According to an official statement, the actor has “injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow.”
One more victim of the polar storms
There’s no further details on the current state of the 51 year old actor, besides the fact that representatives have assured the public that he and his family are receiving excellent care. It’s also been revealed that after the accident, Renner was transported to the hospital by helicopter due to the urgency of his injuries. It’s a known fact that the Marvel star owns a home close to the zones affected by the current influx of snowstorms that are pelting large parts of the country, and very recently he posted a tweet with a car completely covered by the snow close to Lake Tahoe, where his residence is located.
Renner is best known for his role as Hawkeye in the MCU, where he’s appeared several times in the Avengers movies (and many other films in the franchise), as well as starred in his own titular series in Disney+. He’s also been celebrated for his role as William Brandt in the Mission Impossible franchise alongside Tom Cruise, as well as his appearances in The Arrival, American Hustle, and (over a decade ago) in 28 Weeks Later, the award winning sequel to the zombie classic 28 Days Later.
One of the last statements made about the situation was that “The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team is currently looking into the circumstances of the incident.” We’ll stay alert to whatever update is released related to this accident and the actor’s wellbeing, since at this time this is all that is known about this..
