Greninja arrives in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet in a 7-Star Tera Raid: dates and times

Greninja, one of X&Y starters, is coming to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet in a 7-Star Tera incursion. We tell you when it will be available and how to battle it.

Greninja arrives in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet in a 7-Star Tera Raid: dates and times

We already know the mystery Pokémon of the 7-Star Poison-Type Tera Raid in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Greninja. We share with you all the details about it, including when it will be available.

Poison Tera-Type Greninja arrives in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet in a 7-Star Tera Raid

Greninja will debut in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet as part of a new 7-Star Tera raid event to be held in two separate time periods:

  • From Friday, January 27 at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, January 29 at 23:59 UTC.
  • From Friday, February 10 at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, February 12 at 23:59 UTC.

As it has already happened with Charizard and Cinderace, to get this Greninja (which has the Mightiest Mark), we will have to defeat it in a Tera raid of 7-Star Black Crystals. When it is available for the first time in the game we will leave you a complete and detailed guide commenting on which Pokémon to use and with which moves so that you all can capture this Greninja.

Full screen

Greninja is Pokémon #658 on the National PokéDex and is a Water-Type and Dark-Type Pokémon that made its debut in Pokémon X & Y. Again, and as has already happened with Charizard and Cinderace, the fun of this event is that Greninja is not available in the Paldea region. So, until the connection between Pokémon HOME and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and Pokémon Purple is enabled, the only way to get Greninja in these games (and by extension to its evolutionary line) will be by beating this event or trading with a friend who gets it.

This Greninja is only available once per game (we can only capture one), but we can repeat the Tera Raid as many times as we want, either to get its juicy rewards, or to help friends who can't complete it alone. We will give you more information regarding what moves this Pokémon possesses and what rewards we can get once the Tera raid is available.
