Fallout live-action series look revealed by leaked set photos

There’s a couple of live-action productions based on video games currently in production, be it in the middle of filming or still in pre-production. One of these that’s already way ahead is Fallout’s adaptation being made by Amazon. A series from which very little details are actually known beyond an official teaser image shared by the showrunners a while ago. Now, we can enjoy one of their sets in great detail thanks to the leaking of several in set photos that reveal an iconic location: the Red Rocket gas station from Fallout 4.

Fuel for your hype in the Red Rocket

Shared on social media and reported by PC Gamer, these pictures show a pretty detailed look at how the sets for the show are looking. Fans of the franchise will recognize the Red Rocket gas station as one of the earliest locations in Fallout 4, heavily shown on promotional materials and the place where you encounter your first companion in the game, Dogmeat. These images show that the production is taking a lot of care to recreate the style of the newer games faithfully, from the steel structure of the building to the gas pumps.

It all irradiates a futuristic 50’s style, just like in the current iterations of the games, although with a rusted and decayed appearance after suffering the effects of the nuclear war that transformed the United States in a post apocalyptic wasteland.

We still don’t know much about this new video game adaptation, apart from the fact that the creators of Westworld - an HBO series that was recently canceled - Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are in charge of directing and acting as showrunners, with a script from Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner (Portlandia). The cast is still a mystery apart from the main protagonist, who will be played by Walton Goggins. The story will be completely new, and according to Todd Howard, entirely different from the video games.
