Niantic has announced the first details of Primal Rumblings. This upcoming Pokémon GO event will feature Rayquaza, Mega Latios, and Mega Latias.

Pokémon GO Primal Rumblings Event: Dates, Times, and How to Participate
The Primal Rumblings event will take place from Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. until Friday, February 24, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. local time. This is an open and free event for all players, so there are no special requirements to participate.
During the event, we will be able to earn double experience for evolving Pokémon, there will be exclusive stickers in the store, and there will be Hoenn-themed Collection Challenge and Field Research tasks. In addition, we will be telling you about the specific changes that will be made to various aspects of the game:

Featured Attacks During the Pokémon GO Primal Rumblings Event
Finally, if we manage to get our hands on a Rayquaza during the Pokémon GO Primal Rumblings event, it will have Breaking Swipe as a Charged Attack.
In Trainer Battles, it is a 50-Power attack that also reduces the Attack of the opposing Pokémon, while in Gyms and Raids, it is a 35-Power attack.
