Dragon Ball Z is getting a VR game, and this is what it looks like

Dragon Ball has been the focus of dozens of video games throughout the years, but the franchise has remained quite far from virtual reality. However, some lucky players will be able to enjoy an experience developed for this technology, as announced by one of the official accounts of the manga and anime on social networks.

It does not seem to be a commercial game, since they mention that it will be exclusive to attendees of the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event, which will be held in Las Vegas between March 5 and 6. The organization has opened a registration page for anyone who wishes to attend.

"Only at Battle Hour! Play the SPECIAL VR GAME!," they say in the tweet. The idea of the title is to control Gohan during the Cell saga, and from what can be seen in the two images that accompany the publication,we will control the character in first person. They define it as an “immersive dragon ball experience", although it remains to be seen whether or not the project makes the leap to the general public with a full title.

PlayStation VR2 comes out in February

There is no Dragon Ball game announced for the PlayStation VR2, but Sony's virtual reality headset is aiming to carve out a niche in the market thanks to its ambitious technology. The hardware can only be used on PlayStation 5, since it uses its power to display more attractive graphics and better performance. It will go on sale this February 22 at a price of $559.99, so time will tell if Goku and company join the platform or not.

Several games in the Akira Toriyama franchise continue to receive news on a regular basis. An example of this is Xenoverse 2, still going since 2016, while Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has started its second season pass with Bardock's expansion.
