Based on a vision in the desert with former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco Johnson, EA Sports predicts the Vince Lombardi Trophy will go to the Philadelphia Eagles, who will defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-17.
Madden NFL's effectiveness in other Super Bowls
Since 2004, EA Sports has used the latest version of Madden NFL to simulate and predict the Super Bowl champion. The annual simulation, which seeks to determine the next owner of the Vince Lombardi Trophy, is conducted using the latest version of the game and pits the two winning teams from each conference against each other using the latest stats in an effort to get the closest result possible on Super Sunday.
Unlike FIFA's perfect streak with the last four World Cups, Madden NFL's accuracy has declined in recent years, hitting just 1 of the last 5 predictions. Still, it has a record of 11 out of 19 hits for an accuracy rate of 58%.
