Jirachi is Pokémon #385 in the National PokéDex and has been available in Pokémon GO for some time. The February 2023 Pokémon GO: Hoenn Tour event brings with it the chance to get your hands on a Jirachi Shiny. This Pokémon GO guide will show you how to get Jirachi Shiny:
How to get Jirachi Shiny in Pokémon GO: step by step
A standard Jirachi can be obtained in Pokémon GO by completing the 2019 Special Research Tasks called A Thousand-Year Slumber. However, to get the Shiny version, we must complete the Masterwork Research Wish Granted by purchasing the Masterwork Research Ticket from the Store for $4.99 or its local currency equivalent starting on February 20, 2023.
This Masterwork Research will only be available in the store between February 20 and March 20, so it is limited in time. This is a really hard Special Research Task that requires a lot of dedication to the game, as it requires us to complete tasks such as catching 385 Pokémon from the Kanto region, 385 Pokémon from the Johto region, and 385 Pokémon from the Hoenn region, and earning the gold Hoenn medal. And that’s just the first step of the objectives on this quest. In other words, you'll have to play a lot of Pokémon GO to meet the requirements for the Shiny version of Jirachi. And if that's not enough, we only have a limited amount of time.
We remind you that Jirachi is Pokémon 385 and one of the two Mythical Pokémon from the Hoenn region that are part of the third generation of mainstream Pokémon games. In the original video games, it could be obtained by taking advantage of the GameCube-Game Boy Advance connection; thanks to the GC's Pokémon Channel, we were able to transfer Jirachi to Pokémon Ruby or Pokémon Sapphire.
