Historic Dragon Ball and One Piece Crossover Finally Leaves Japan

The episode Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special is dubbed into English for the first time in Toonami.

Historic Dragon Ball and One Piece Crossover Finally Leaves Japan

Dragon Ball and One Piece crossed paths in 2013 as part of a special episode of the anime Toriko, a crossover that never left Japan and that placed two of manga and anime's most famous gluttons, Goku and monkey D. Luffy, in their ideal environment: a gourmet world where their protagonist traveled to the most expensive and prestigious restaurants to treat their guests to the tastiest dishes. And of course, the protagonists of Dragon Ball and One Piece could not miss the party. All this led to the so-called Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special, a special episode that will finally leave Japan to the delight of its fans.

Goku and Luffy make their crossover a huge success

Toei Animation pulled out all the stops with their new anime Toriko, a series that was quite popular in Japan at the time, and brought together two of the most famous icons of manga and anime to star in the most anticipated crossover. Bringing Goku and Luffy together in the same episode is no coincidence... However, this crossover episode was aired in two parts through episode 99 of Toriko and episode 590 of One Piece.

Now, the famous anime company has confirmed that this crossover will finally come out of Japan with English dubbing, all through the Toonami platform on March 4th. It will be the first time that Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special will have its voices in English, an episode especially aimed at fans that will bring together several characters from both franchises, such as Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Chopper or Zoro, among others.

For now, this episode will be available on the Toonami platform, which is not available in all territories of the world, so it will not be so easy to enjoy this special crossover episode of Dragon Ball and One Piece. At the moment, it seems that it will be easily accessible in the United States from March 4th. Will it be available in other parts of the world on another platform like Crunchyroll?
