Hugh Jackman shows the diet behind his brutal physical transformation to return as Wolverine

There are few actors who take superhero movies so seriously. After Logan (2017), Hugh Jackman seemed to have said goodbye to the character of Wolverine forever, but Ryan Reynolds has finally convinced him to do one last dance in Deadpool 3 (a film scheduled for November 8, 2024, on Marvel's calendar). And although the intention is to have a few laughs and provoke a good handful of laughs, Jackman is preparing thoroughly for the role and is undergoing a brutal physical transformation.

At 54, Jackman has returned to gym routines and special diets to, in his own words, "put on a few pounds of pure muscle. The actor has always spoken out against steroids, asserting that even in his prime, when he had more biceps on screen and was in the best shape of his life, he did it all through heavy weight training and high-protein diets. Now he wanted to prove it by opening a window into his life and sharing on social media what he's been eating since his retirement from Marvel.

"Bulking. A day in the life. Thank you Chef Mario for helping me stay healthy and properly fed whilst .. Becoming. Wolverine. Again," writes Hugh Jackman next to two photos of the five Tuppers! he has to stuff between his chest and back, loaded with meat, rice and vegetables.

Arnold Schwarzenegger gives the thumbs up

Jackman shared his weight routine a few days ago and started his own pique with Reynolds to see who could lift a higher load. "He’s only 46. I’m older. But it’s not a competition," our eternal Wolverine joked. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who knows a thing or two about exercise, has been paying close attention to his workout routines. The actor, former governor of California and bodybuilder replied with several emojis, applauding the efforts of both on social media. No one is laughing at Deadpool... except Deadpool himself.
