Sonic Origins Plus will bring extra content to the classic game collection
Sega has just announced the imminent arrival of Sonic Origins Plus, a new version of the classic game collection that add new content and a physical collection.
A new version of the Sonic Origins collection of classic games is on its way, set to be released this June 2023. This new edition includes all of the previous titles, as well as new content, characters, and even all of Sonic’s Game Gear appearances.
Announced by Sega as Sonic Origins Plus, the new edition is aiming for a release date on June 23, 2023, which coincidentally is also the hedgehog’s official anniversary. As previously mentioned, the game will include all of the same titles that were included in the original release, as well as 12 Game Gear titles that will be playable through emulation inside of the game’s Museum area.
As if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also be able to play as Amy Rose and Knuckles in certain titles. Below you’ll find a complete list of updates and new content coming to the games.
Everything coming to Sonic Origins Plus
Sonic Origins Plus will be released in both a physical and digital format, with a price of $39.99. Owners of the original Sonic Origins will be able to purchase an upgrade for their games for $9.99.
