Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Trophies Guide: How to get all the Trophies and how to get Platinum
We tell you how to get Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Platinum and all trophies, including ‘Let it Go’, ‘Hang Ten’ and ‘Soar’.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Maybe a really big spider? No, it’s the MeriStation Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Guide! More specifically, the trophy guide to getting the game’s Platinum. A step-by-step guide through the 42 trophies of this sequel, just as easy (and fun) to complete as the previous installments. Or even more!
Dedicated
Automatically as you unlock the other 41 Trophies in the game.
Superior
To see what to do in each district, simply open the map and hover over the district. Completing 100% means that the progression bar has reached the third reward, up to the hero tokens.
Heal the World
It is unlocked by simply playing the story mode. You can’t miss it.
To the Max
Getting the Superior Gold Trophy (the one for 100% completion of all districts) will give you more than enough materials to create and improve all the gadgets.
Kitted Out
As we said before, getting the Superior Gold Trophy (the one for 100% completion of all districts) will give you a lot of materials to create costumes and styles, but you may also need to commit some crimes.
Behind the Masks
It is unlocked by completing all Mysteries (there are 10) and playing the final mission that is unlocked at that time. For the record, it is not necessary to get the gold medal for each challenge (although it is highly recommended to get 100%). The easiest one will give you the recording that advances the story.
Amazing
If you get the Superior Gold Trophy (the one for 100% completion of all districts), you will reach level 60 almost without realizing it. It is quite easy.
Data Collector
You have to catch the 8 data drones of New York. They are the “mechanical birds” that you have to chase with the spider webs through the circles that they leave behind. Although we have seen them more or less easy, all are quite feasible and in fact serve to train your expertise with the spider webs.
Crimson Hour
It is unlocked by completing all the missions in The Flame. There are 4 missions, they are about an old acquaintance and we highly recommend them as they reveal a villain from Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. Please note that until we reach a certain point in the main story, the third and fourth part of this subplot will not be unlocked. You can leave them for the final stretch.
Exterminator
There are 10 Symbiote Nests scattered around New York, and they are like survival missions. In them, we have to defend one, two, and sometimes three pods for X amount of time. Obviously they only appear in the last part of the game when Venom is unleashed, but they can still be done after the main story is finished, don’t worry.
They don’t have much of a gimmick. Use Peter and equip him with the Anti-Venom powers, not the mechanical arms. Go into symbiote overload mode whenever you can and you’re done. If they still resist you, a reminder: lower the difficulty (it doesn’t affect any trophies and it’s in the menu).
Grains of Sand
After finishing the prologue with Sandman, 14 crystals with Flint Marko’s mind fragmented inside will appear all over New York. Simply approach the crystals and interact with them to start a fight against a bunch of Sand clones. After defeating them, break the crystal and collect their memories. Getting all 14 will unlock a small additional sidequest that will give you the trophy.
Leave Us Alone
It is unlocked by simply playing the story mode. You can’t miss it.
The Great Hunt
It is unlocked by simply playing the story mode. You can’t miss it.
Seek and Destroy
There are 4 “Hunter Bases” in New York, but in order to find out where they are, we must first visit the so-called “Hunter Hideouts” (11 in total). It is best to sneak into them, as the enemy hordes are dense and will not hesitate to call for reinforcements.
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
The missions of the FNSM (Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man) application are kind of like the side missions of the game. They are 6 and quite emotional to be honest. They connect with characters from the first part, hide flashbacks to Peter’s past and even allow us to manage an extra character. They are completed in no time, so give them a try.
Medicine
It is unlocked by simply playing the story mode. You can’t miss it.
Surge
If you have loaded the Berserker mode (called Symbiote Overload here), press both joysticks simultaneously (L3 + R3) and you will enter a state where your techniques are virtually infinite for a short time. Once you get the symbiote powers, if you use this mode and use 25 techniques in it, the trophy will pop. It does not have to be in the same fight or in the same overload.
Foundational
The missions of the Emily May Foundation are 6 and come to replace Harry’s experiments of the original, although fortunately, they are shorter. They are mostly mini-games like combining elements of the periodic table, driving bee droids, or riding a bike.
Evolved
These are all the techniques we use when pressing L1 and another button on Miles Morales. The poison jump or galvanize (L1 + x), poison crush or reverse flow (L1 + circle), poison fist or chain lightning (L1 + square), and poison run or thunderbolt (L1 + triangle).
The story and the secondaries will get you there pretty much by themselves, but if you want to speed up the process, prioritize Miles’ skill tree and improve the damage and concentration of the suit (so it recharges faster). Also, try to use the powers on already weakened enemies. After all, it only counts if you defeat them.
Armed and Dangerous
The same as the previous one, but with Peter. They are all the techniques that we use when pressing L1 and another button. The spider-whiplash (L1 + x), the spider-concussion (L1 + circle), the spider-thrust (L1 + square) and the spider-run (L1 + triangle).
It comes out practically alone doing the story and the secondaries, but if you want to speed up the process, give priority to Peter’s skill tree and improve the damage and concentration of the suit (so they recharge sooner). Also, try to hit already weakened enemies with the powers. After all, it only counts when you defeat them.
Another Way
It is unlocked by simply playing the story mode. You can’t miss it.
Fully Loaded
Getting the Superior Gold Trophy (the one for 100% completion of all districts) will give you more than enough materials to create and improve all the technology.
Brooklyn Pride
The trophy is awarded for completing the 6 missions of the Brooklyn Missions Academy, which are quite simple (if boring), but upon completion we will be rewarded with “A Gift”, the Captain America suit for Miles.
My Community
Completed by saving the Cultural Museum in Harlem, which requires two missions and awards the City Sounds Suit (Miles).
I Quit
Unlocked as you progress through the story. You can’t miss it.
Funky Wireless Protocols
There are 42 Spider-Bots and they replace the backpacks from the first game. Some of them won’t appear until you’ve progressed through the story, so save them for the end. If you use the scanner (press R3) while swinging through New York, the ones you come across will be registered and marked on the map. If you are looking for a specific one, do the same.
When you are done, you will have unlocked one of the most interesting cinematics of the sequel, and one of the most talked about in the next few days.
Stylish
The main missions force you to do it, so you can’t miss it.
Slack Line
The Web Line is obtained by playing the main story and allows you to set up just that, a cable, at any point in the scenario. Just use it and sneakily kill 25 enemies from one of these cables. The best places to do this are the hunter hideouts and hunter bases. Be careful, as there is no respawn for the bases, and making the trophy in random crimes can be deadly.
Hang Ten
One of the most difficult trophies in the game.
Overdrive
This is one of the skills that Miles unlocks very late in the main story. It is the one that is activated by pressing L1 and Circle. It brings out a sort of tentacle of electricity that attracts enemies to him. It is not difficult, but you have to remember it. You can use it in the Symbiote Nests for example.
Home run!
Very simple, it is located at the bottom right of the map, in Downtown Brooklyn, just take the batting position and then perform a home run, or what is the same, run (R2) through all the bases without stopping and return to the starting point.
Just Let Go
Take the time to visit a special place on the map.
You Know What to Do
Take the time to visit a special place on the map.
Soar
Although it is not impossible, far from it, the way is not as easy as it may seem and it will probably take you a few tries. You have to start somewhere in the Financial District (lower left corner of the map) and plan your way to Astoria (upper right corner).
Splat
Just hold square while swinging and Peter or Miles will start to pirouette. Keep holding it even when the ground gets frighteningly close, and if you fall you’ll get your trophy, but be careful if you have fall damage enabled!
A New Adventure
Howard is one of the side characters of the first game and one of the 6 side missions of the FNSM (Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man) application. It has no complications and the trophy is more for symbolic value than anything else.
Resourceful
If you get the Superior Gold Trophy (the one for 100% completion of all districts), you will get more than enough components. It is not really necessary, but if you want to speed up, just start doing one crime after another.
Co-Signing
There are 8 of Miles’ retired Uncle Prowler’s Tech Stashes hidden in New York, and while it’s a bit boring to track them down based on the “hot, cold” game, they themselves aren’t difficult.
You’re Gonna Need Help
It is unlocked by simply playing the story mode. You can’t miss it.
New York, New York
In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 we will find 23 photo shoots for Robbie Robertson scattered around New York. The map shows how many there are in each district, and to find them you just have to swing a little in the areas in question and press the right joystick (R3). Using this “radar” they are very easy to find and once on the ground just take out the camera (press the touchpad up) and press the shutter when the target turns green.
Antidote
The anti-Venom suit is given to us in the last part of the story. Just defeat a symbiote with it and you’re done. Almost impossible to miss.
A New Suit
It is unlocked by simply playing the story mode. You can’t miss it.
