‘28 years later’: does it have a post-credit scene?

After many years of waiting, ’28 years later,’ the new film from director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland is about to hit theaters. What has happened to Britain since the Rage virus escaped from that medical research laboratory in Cambridge 28 years ago? How has a population that has been quarantinedfrom the rest of the world adapted while dealing with the infected? And more importantly, even more important... After 115 minutes of running time, is there anything after the credits? Well, that’s one of the questions we’ll answer in this article.

Is there a post-credits scene at the end of 28 Years Later’?

The short and definitive answer is no. ’28 Years Later’ does not have a post-credits scene. Although it ends on a major cliffhanger, we now know that a sequel is in the works under the title ‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ is coming soon, there are no extra scenes during or after the credits that give us a glimpse of what will happen next.

However, if you think you can still hold out, you can stick around afterwards to show your appreciation to the cast and crew who made this film. Alternatively, if you need to go to the toilet, the car park is closing or you can’t sit still any longer, you can leave safe in the knowledge that you won’t miss anything.

What is ‘28 Years Later’ about?

“It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.”
