Agatha Character Renames Her Own Marvel Series on Disney+

The series is changing titles again, and Variety’s sources suggest that this is not Marvel’s indecision, but a strategy.

Agatha’s sorcerous magic is capable of altering the perception of reality. The Marvel character, who will star in her own series following her debut on WandaVision, can’t resist working her magic, especially now that the series premiere has been delayed due to the writers and actors strike. Originally announced as Agatha: House of Harkness, the title has already changed twice.

As reported by Variety, in July 2022, the head of Marvel Studios called it Agatha: Coven of Chaos. However, that title seems to have mutated again, as it now points to the title Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. Why have these changes been made, many will ask. The truth is that sources consulted by this media point out that the change is not due to Marvel’s indecision, but rather that they are taking advantage of the nature of the character to make it appear that it is Agatha herself who is working her magic.

Which Marvel shows have been delayed?

The strike has forced the major studios to change their schedules, starting with Daredevil: Born Again, which is still in production. And no, not by magic, but because of the strikes in which the Hollywood industry is immersed. As it is, Marvel Studios has decided to postpone the second season of What If... from early 2023 to December 2023, although in this case, the reasons are not clear.

Echo, the Hawkeye spin-off starring Alaqua Cox, will not be available until November 29, 2024. It will also be the first major Disney series to release all of its episodes at the same time.

X-Men ‘97 will not be spared from the delay, dropping its late-2023 release window to debut on Disney+ in early 2024.

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries (or whatever it ends up being called) has been pushed back to 2024.

Loki Season 2 is still scheduled for this year and will air on October 6th.
