Strikes Remove Daredevil’s Return and Other Marvel TV Shows from Calendar
Daredevil and other Marvel series will no longer be released on the previously announced dates.
The actors and screenwriters strike in Hollywood continues to cause difficulties for many productions, and as a result, Marvel Studios has had to reorganize its television schedule, affecting long-awaited productions such as Daredevil.
The popular series is one of the most talked about in the Marvel Universe, but it has disappeared from the release schedule due to the current strikes. A production that would have seen Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reprise their roles as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. On the other hand, Wonder Man, starring Yahya Abdul-Madeen II, has also been canceled in mid-production.
So far, there is no word on when these series will be released again; we will just have to wait and see when they resume. The strikes are affecting a number of studios, including Marvel Studios and the major releases in production.
Upcoming Marvel Studios Series
The fall season will feature only one premiere on Disney+, the highly anticipated second season of Loki, which will debut on October 6. The series, starring Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson, is Marvel’s best hope for the rest of the year, and its first season was the most-watched Marvel series on Disney+.
On the other hand, the animated series ‘What If...’ will premiere its second season at Christmas, so we will be able to delve deeper into a TV production that explores highlights of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and offers a different and imaginative vision of how some events could have unfolded if events had been different. Also of note is X-Men ‘97, a new animated series that aims to recapture the tone of the 90s classic and will debut in early 2024.
