Alone in the Dark confirms its release date, big-name protagonists, and a playable demo
October is going to be a month full of scares, now that THQ has revealed what the new Alone in the Dark will have to offer.
Alone in the Dark takes advantage of the spotlights of its own presentation to show off new info for the fans. The remake of the horror legend confirms its release date, with a Halloween framework chosen to spend a few nights of authentic fear. The Pieces Interactive project will arrive on October 25 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Along with the date, the team wanted to make a huge gesture for the fans. You can now download its prologue for free on all platforms where it will be released. This portion of the game goes beyond being a simple demo, instead contributing to the background of the events that will be narrated in the full game by acting as a prologue.
We know that we will control a girl named Grace Sunders. There will be no combat, but this prologue will give us an idea of its graphic quality and the work involved in conveying the atmosphere of the mansion. It will take place weeks before the story of the game. On the other hand, we know that its duration will be around 15 and 20 minutes, depending on how fast you are.
Two Hollywood heavyweights sign up for Alone in the Dark
THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive also managed to seal two deals that give the game some heavyweight Hollywood names: both Jodie Comer and David Harbor will give voice and face to the protagonists of the game. Whether you choose Emily Hartwood or Edward Carnby, you’ll enjoy the story from a perspective that will vary depending on your choice. Even the rest of the characters will react differently.
The title is being developed based on Unreal Engine 4, a situation reminiscent of the sight with Respawn Entertainment in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. October will be filled with great horror games.
