Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is the latest jewel from From Software, a game that exemplifies the level of quality that the Japanese company’s titles possess in recent times. With almost three decades behind them making video games, it was following the Souls phenomenon when the developer conquered the world, but before that, there were many years and titles among which was the Armored Core saga, born in 1997 and that in this sixth installment has finished confirming the brilliant form of From Software.

Armored Core 6, a new gem from From Software

The sixth installment of the Mecha franchise has become From Software’s second most successful game at launch on Steam, surpassed only by Elden Ring. With impressive numbers, the title peaked at 150,959 concurrent players, making it the fourth biggest release of the year on Steam. Where are the limits for From Software? With titles like Sekiro and the sixth installment of Armored Core, the Japanese company has shown that it can excel in any style it chooses.

The maximum peak concurrent users reached by From Software titles on Steam.

  • Elden Ring - 953K
  • Armored Core 6 - 150K
  • Dark Souls 3 - 129K
  • Sekiro - 125K

In our opinion of the game, our own Mike Reyes took his time to get on the robot and pointed out that “Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is an expertly crafted game, one that will see players coming back over and over, obsessing over stats and weapon synergies, about the rhythms of combat and the most overpowered builds they have. They’ll face off against each other’s creations, and share their theories on the mysteries left unresolved by the various endings. This is a new kind of game that feels like everything you loved from the PS2 and Xbox era, modernized and presented in a beautiful package.”
