Update:

Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed that he is involved in the production of a new ‘Conan the Barbarian’ movie. According to reports from TheArnoldFans, during his visit to the Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio, the actor said that both Fox and he are working on a new feature film that, in principle, will be directed and scripted by Christopher McQuarrie, the director of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and the last four installments of ‘Mission: Impossible.’

Schwarzenegger explained that the idea of continuing Conan’s story has been on the table for a long time, and that this sequel would revolve around the comic book ‘King Conan,’ in which the warrior has spent 40 years ruling as king until he is forced to abandon the throne. This gives rise to a new conflict that forces the hero to take action once again, taking part in new battles full of epic events and fantastic creatures.

In addition to this possible return to the world of ‘Conan’, Schwarzenegger revealed that he has also been in talks to return to two other franchises that marked his career in Hollywood. Apparently, the actor has been offered roles in new projects for ‘Commando’ and ‘Predator’, with the latter being particularly noteworthy, as Dan Trachtenberg, director of ‘Predator: Badlands’, has reportedly shown interest in casting him in his upcoming science fiction film.

Schwarzenegger’s return to Predator has been rumored since last year, when Trachtenberg himself revealed that he had spoken with the actor about a possible future collaboration. At the moment, there are not many more details about these projects, and in fact it seems that King Conan is the only one that will end up materializing as something real. However, we mustn’t forget that 2027 will mark the 40th anniversary of the release of the first ‘Predator’ movie. Will there be a surprise announcement?
