Ubisoft

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is 5 times shorter than Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s return to the franchise’s origins will also be felt in how long it takes to complete the game.

Ubisoft has finally realized that more is not always better. Far from the last three great RPGs that the Assassin’s Creed franchise has delivered, the “back to roots” of Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be complete, which also means it’ll be a more condensed game. It will not last for hundreds of hours, instead letting players complete it in much less time, as the developers recently revealed.

How long will Assassin’s Creed Mirage take to complete?

“Given that we do a lot of playtesting internally at Ubisoft, it’s part of our process, we really want to get as close as possible to the players, so we’ll say that the latest playtimes we’ve received average at around 20-23 hours,” said Fabian Salomon, producer of the game, in an interview with a French YouTuber that was reported by PCGamesN. “That can go up to 25-30 hours for the completionists, and we’ll say that those who will be rushing the game will be around 20 hours.”

This is in direct contrast to the last two installments in the,Assassin’s Creed series, Odyssey and Valhalla, which according to HowLongToBeat can take upwards of 60 hours speaking exclusively of the main plot, or even more than 150 if you want to complete absolutely everything.

In this way, we are going to find a game that truly returns to the origins of Ubisoft’s most successful franchise. Not only in terms of duration but in terms of map size and above all, gameplay mechanics. As was shown extensively during the Ubisoft Forward from last June, it will be more focused on parkour and stealth, although it will not make without a certain progress system, although much simpler than the one in the last three deliveries.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will arrive on October 12 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
