Ava Kris Tyson leaves the Beast Gang amid controversy

One of Mr. Beast’s team members, Ava Kris Tyson, has announced her decision to leave the team after being involved in a controversy over the past few days.

The BeastGang has lost a member. It is Ava Kris Tyson, formerly known as Chris Tyson, is now leaving the team in the midst of a controversy over alleged “grooming” of an underage boy.

This afternoon, Ava Kris Tyson posted on her X account (formerly Twitter) the reasons for her departure from MrBeast and social media to “focus on my family and mental health”. Her text emphasizes that “I never groomed anyone. The person who gets brought up in these accusations LavaGS has vocally supported that they are false” as well as “I don’t want these accusations to impact the hundreds of people who work at MrBeast, which is why I have stepped away.”

What is Ava Kris Tyson being accused of?

The first allegations surfaced about a month ago when videos surfaced on Reddit and YouTube alleging that Ava Kris Tyson had inappropriate interactions with a 13-year-old fan when Ava (then Chris) was 20 years old. This young man, known as “Lava,” met Chris when Chris won a Mr. Beast contest. For his part, Lava, now 20, has come to Ava’s defense, mentioning that “Ava never did anything wrong and just made some edgy jokes. I was never exploited or taken advantage of.”

The change in Ava Kris Tyson’s life

Last April, Ava Kris began hormone replacement therapy, which caused her presence on social media and in MrBeast videos to dwindle. As a public figure on one of YouTube’s most popular channels, her absence drew attention and theories were formulated that the change she was going through was a reason for her dismissal or leaving the channel altogether. At the time, still as Chris Tyson, he returned to clarify the situation and the relationship still had with the Beast Gang.
