‘Avengers 5′ confirms its shooting date along with the return of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange
The new ‘Avengers’ movie will be shot in 2025 in one of Marvel’s most ambitious plans in recent memory.
Great news for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Doctor Strange in the next installment of ‘Avengers’. The fifth chapter of the superhero reunion will begin filming next year in what promises to be one of the most ambitious films in the genre.
Why do we say this? Well, because in recent weeks prestigious media such as Deadline pointed out that the movie aims to have more than 60 superheroes around the license. The number is spectacular, especially if you put it in front of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, with 38 on the scene.
The new chapter of ‘Avengers’ reinvents itself after the fall of ‘The Kang Dynasty’
Plans did not go well for the production company. The firing of Jonathan Majors after his legal troubles changed the story arc they wanted to establish in this new step of the MCU. From ‘The Kang Dynasty’ we have moved on to a movie that does not yet have a subtitle. With the confirmation that filming will begin in 2025, everything points to the fact that in the coming months we will know exactly where it is in the future plans.
2025 looks spectacular for Marvel. The year will kick off with ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ on February 14th, the prelude to ‘Thunderbolts’ (May 5th) and the expected return of ‘The Fantastic 4′ (July 25th). In between, there are other productions in TV format, such as the series ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ (March) and ‘Ironheart’ (no date).
Though fans are breathing a sigh of relief for what’s to come in the very near future. ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is the next stop for Marvel’s heroes. It will be released on July 25th as the longest movie of the trilogy. 127 minutes of action and acid comedy that reminds us that Ryan Reynolds is still in top form, not to mention that Wolverine is once again played by Hugh Jackman. All the pieces are in place.
