Barbarians on the big screen: a Clash of Clans animated series is coming to Netflix

Supercell and Netflix have officially announced a new animated series based on two popular iOS and Android games: Clash of Clans and Clash Royale; bringing the chaotic world of mobile warfare to the streaming platform.
What’s the story?
The series, simply titled Clash, follows a determined but overwhelmed Barbarian who must rally a band of misfits to defend his village while navigating the absurd politics of war.
Netflix describes the show as a comedic adventure, packed with epic battles, humor, and iconic characters from the Clash universe.
Who’s behind the series?
Netflix has assembled a strong creative team to bring Clash to life:
- Fletcher Moules (Entergalactic, Agent Elvis) – Showrunner and director.
- Ron Weiner (Futurama, Arrested Development, 30 Rock) – Head writer.
- ICON Creative Studio (Batwheels, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures) – Animation studio.
Supercell’s Curtis Lelash, head of film & TV, expressed excitement about the project, saying:
“Think epic battles, immaculate Barbarian mustaches, and the kind of humor our players know and love. They’ve been asking for a Clash series forever, and we’re beyond excited to finally say: It’s happening!”.
When will it release?
The series is currently in pre-production, meaning it’s still in the early stages of development. While no official release date has been announced, it’s expected to arrive sometime in 2025.
