Benedict Cumberbatch reveals when he will don the Doctor Strange cape in the MCU
The famous actor who has played Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme for years says he will soon be back in action in new UCM movies.
Marvel Studios has presented us with a variety of characters over the past few years, but there is one that takes the cake in terms of charisma and personality. This is none other than Doctor Strange, thanks largely to the brilliant performance of actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who has managed to bring a lesser-known character like Stephen Strange to the big screen in the best possible way. And after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, there are many fans who are wondering when we will see the actor in his special magical cape again; and apparently it will be sooner rather than later.
Doctor Strange returns in 2024
So, after the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Stephen Strange was left in a very strange situation, traveling to other universes to try to stop a dangerous invasion; or several of them. Now we know that the British actor will return to his most famous role in 2024; so he has assured in a recent interview with Nick Hackworth, where Cumberbatch has assured that he will make “some appearances in Marvel movies next year.”
What Cumberbatch has not revealed is which movies he will be appearing in, and he has referred to his upcoming appearances as “appearances” rather than appearances, suggesting that Doctor Strange has several cameos ahead of him as part of the ongoing multiverse saga. Of course, we all expect to see Stephen Strange in crossovers like Avengers: Dynasty of Kang or Avengers: Secret Wars, but he could also have small roles in movies like Blade or Fantastic Four.
We’ll see under what terms and in what movies Benedict Cumberbatch makes his return as Doctor Strange, one of the MCU’s most beloved and important characters.
