Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 reinvents itself with the arrival of Season 4 and Ballerina
New maps, weapons, modes and even a movie collaboration promise to inject fresh air into the legendary FPS.

Call of Duty always finds ways to reinvent itself, not just game after game, but season after season. The fourth multiplayer season for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, which was released today, is no exception.
What’s coming in Call of Duty season 4?
Looking ahead to the coming months, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will offer its players a plethora of new content, among which undoubtedly highlights the arrival of the skins of Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas), whom most will place by the movie Ballerina, in an alliance that fits like a glove to both, whose premiere is imminent.
But of course that’s not the only thing, and if you’re interested purely in the Call of Duty lore and the game itself, then you won’t be left empty-handed either.
Season 4 will include:
- 4 New multiplayer maps: Shutdown, Fugitive, Blitz, Eclipse, Fringe. Competitive modes Team Elimination, One in the Chamber and Group Ops.
- Five new weapons
- The return of the competitive mode Grief for zombies.
The changes coming to Warzone
For its part, Warzone will receive new features, but it will also lose some modes, which will generate some controversy among players. Let’s get to the good stuff first, which are the changes:
- Introduction of a new prominent point of interest in the form of the Mirador skyscraper.
- 4 game modes: Clash, Ranked Match, Chaos Royale, Casual Resurgence.
Likewise, new gameplay additions are coming to Warzone, including the Hand Cannon casualty streak, the Search and Destroy contract, the Gate Lock field upgrade, the new Loot Mastery perk, and the Aid Pack casualty streak.
The problem has not been there, but in the fact that it was announced the disappearance, at least temporarily, of the battle royale mode for solo players, while its alternative with bots will remain. This has added fuel to the fire of controversy among players who had complaints about the title for one reason or another.

Add some technical problems during the activation of Season 4 this morning to the above, and you have the makings of a rare atmosphere among the community — something that, to be fair, is also not novel.
Upcoming events in the season
But to close on a positive note, we return to the topic of events, where the Ballerina event stands out, precisely, which will run from June 5 to 12 and will be added to three others, whose information you will find below.
- Ballerina (June 5 to 12) - Inspired by the John Wick universe, it unlocks the Essex Model 07 Marksman rifle and the exclusive Nunchaku design for BlackCell.
- Rivals (June 12-26) - Follow Stitch and Adler’s mission to find the Pantheon infiltrators, unlocking the Stryder .22 3-Round Burst Mod attachment and the Grim Reaper streak.
- King of the Dead (June 26 to July 3) - Climb the global leaderboard by eliminating zombies.
- Master of Grief (July 10 to July 17) - Accumulate Essence in Grief and climb the leaderboard.

Of course, in addition to the above, there are the traditional standard and premium battle passes, where the share of creativity is as significant as the prices and rewards. Attractive items for the most dedicated or wealthy players include more than 100 rewards, the return of the Stitch operator and a number of exclusive BlackCell upgrades. In addition, players will be able to unlock new base weapons, unique skins and special content in the store, most notably the Ballerina movie content bundle.
Many things can be said about Call of Duty and its multiplayer, but a lack of entertainment is not one of them, and while it’s true that you can’t always completely reinvent the Warzone map, as happened last season, the truth is that between Ballerina, the return of Grief, new modes and more, we have something to keep us busy between now and next season.
