Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 announced; first back-to-back Black Ops release ever
Black Ops returns: this time, in 2035.
Activision has officially unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 during the Xbox Games Showcase, marking the first time in franchise history that two Black Ops titles have been released in consecutive years.
What’s new in Black Ops 7?
Set in 2035, Black Ops 7 takes place 10 years after Black Ops 2 and 40 years after Black Ops 6. The world is on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare. Players will join David Mason and his team as they battle a manipulative enemy who weaponizes fear.
Key features include:
- Mind-bending story – Described as the most intense narrative in Black Ops history.
- Cutting-edge technology – Players will use advanced futuristic weapons.
- Solo and co-op campaign – Experience the story alone or with friends.
- Round-based Zombies – The classic wave survival mode returns.

Black Ops 7 will launch later this year on:
