Capcom confirms Elena’s return to Street Fighter 6 as part of the Character Pass

Capcom has announced the upcoming arrival of Elena in Street Fighter 6, the Kenyan capoeira expert who will join the game’s roster as part of the second year of the Character Pass. This announcement marks her return after a notable absence from Street Fighter V.

Elena returns to the fray this June

Elena will be the fourth and final character to join Street Fighter 6’s Year 2 Character Pass, with a scheduled release date of June 5th. A total of four characters were released during this second year of downloadable content: M. Bison in June 2025, the unexpected crossover with SNK that brought Terry Bogard in September, and later the arrival of Mai Shiranui in February of this year.

Along with the addition of Elena, the special Street Fighter 6: Year 1-2 Fighters Edition will be released, featuring all eight downloadable characters added to date. This edition will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox X|S Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

A veteran returns to the ring

Elena made her debut in 1997’s Street Fighter III: New Generation. Since then, the capoeira mistress has made notable appearances in titles such as Ultra Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter x Tekken. Her return to the franchise after several years brings her back into the competitive spotlight.
