CD Projekt RED has issued a warning to PC players who are going to play Phantom Liberty
Is your PC cool enough to play Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty? No, really. A CDPR project wants players to make sure they have enough cooling to handle the expansion.
CD Projekt Red sends a serious warning to all users who want to run the new expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 on their PC. In the words of Filip Pierscinski, lead scenario programmer on the team, Phantom Liberty and the 2.0 update of the base game will use “all what you have” on your PC. You should check the conditions of your computer if you want the experience to be as stable as possible.
“Before release CP2077 2.0 and PL please check conditions of your cooling systems in PC,” begins Pierscinski in a short message published on X. “We use all what you have, so workload on CPU 90% on 8 core is expected. To save your time please run Cinebench or similar and check stability of your systems.”
What are the minimum and recommended requirements for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty?
Compared to the base game and given what the team highlights in their Steam store page, Phantom Liberty slightly increases the minimum and recommended requirements to run it on a computer.
